The design process begins with an on-site or remote consultation with Megan, who takes some time to become familiar with the space and the goals of her clients. Megan incorporates existing settings and materials, structure, climate and the style of her clients to inform an initial proposal. This becomes the foundation for a final design that is a guiding document, but always subject to re-vision. Your inspiration and needs for your outdoor space, integrated with the greater natural environment as well as your home, is what inspires Megan's artistic approach to landscape design and architecture. An artist to her core, Megan is constantly finding and creating beauty in a variety of media and contexts, but her designs are always sophisticated and harmonious, never jarring or dated. She is at ease with many home design styles: modern, Mediterranean, Asian/Japanese; natural and minimalist, or opulent and luxurious. As a sculptor, jeweler, interior designer and visual artist, Megan has a deep and rich design vocabulary that often manifests in surprising and delightful design elements that give her designs a distinctive signature.

Build
Over her some 15 years of work in the Bay Area, Megan has cultivated a network of craftspeople and artisans who she can call upon to build out her designs. They are people she trusts, and who trust and respect her. They know that Megan expects the very highest level of professionalism and quality of work. Whether she's placing a 6 ton boulder or a 4-inch perennial, Megan is an exacting job supervisor, and her builders are well aware that the job needs to be done right, or they'll have to do it again. Megan is an expert plant and materials broker, and she personally selects and oversees the delivery and installation of every element of the project.
